On most modern or 2/3 of newly manufactured cars air conditioning now comes as standard equipment due to the major enhancement it brings to passenger comfort. But did you know that air conditioning needs regular maintenance annually to keep it performing properly? A well maintained air conditioning system has many benefits including fresh filtered air (year round), removal of pollen and other allergens and even keeps the air dry and comfortable all year round.
Vehicle A/C systems will tend to lose refrigerant over time as refrigerant permeates through the physical joins between components.
Over time this will cause deterioration in performance.
Worse still, if you leave A/C operating with low refrigerant levels, more serious problems can occur, lubricant circulation may be affected and air or moisture may enter the system.

Air Conditioning Recharge

Just to let you know, you may not be aware that over 10% of air-con gas permeates from the air-con system every year, which means that it may not work as well as it should. This is why car manufacturers recommend your Air-Con system is recharged with gas and lubricant every 2 years. This service is not part of routine vehicle servicing. But in our part of the world I would recommend a yearly service obviously because of our weather. If your Air-Con system has not been recharged annualy it will dramatically reduce efficiency.
Operated on a drive-in basis there is usually no need for an appointment. Within an hour the whole recharge process is completed.
